Sinopsis
Relato sobre la creación del mundo gracias al baile de los dioses de algodón, células de su cuerpo y cabello de Nuestra Madre Diosa. Creación celebrada a la fecha con el baile del mitote.

La creación del mundo
Cuentan que un día nuestra Madre Diosa, creó a los dioses para que cuidaran el agua y regaran la tierra.
Los hizo de algodón y los dejó en una laguna pero ellos se cansaron de estar ahí.
Entonces nuestra Madre Diosa se los llevó al cenit sin embargo, cansados de estar colgados
y con la ayuda de Tajá’a el Hermano Astro usaron sus flechas, extrajeron células de su cuerpo y formaron la Tierra.
Con un mechón de nuestra Madre Diosa, comenzaron a tejer un Tsíikiri u ojo de Dios.
Entonces la Madre Diosa puso encima la tierra y ordenó a los dioses que la pisaran y esparcieran mientras bailaban el mitote.
Así se creó el mundo.
Así lo cuentan los coras.

Earth’s Creation
They say Our Mother Goddess created the gods to look after Earth’s bodies of water and to water the land.
She made them out of cotton and left them in a lagoon. But they grew tired of being there, so Our Mother took them to the zenith.
However, they grew tired of being suspended there and with the help of Tajá’a the Astro Brother,
they used their arrows to extract cells from his body, and created the Earth.
With a lock of our Mother, they began to weave a Tsíikiri, or eye of God.
The goddess then put the Earth on top and ordered the gods to step on it and stretch it out while they danced the mitote.
That’s how the world was created.
That is how we the Coras tell it.
